Summer Newsletter
from Schrock's Amish Farm and Village
in Berlin, Ohio
The summer season is officially here and all of us at Schrock's Amish Farm and Village are enjoying seeing all the visitors returning to the area. It is always interesting to see where everyone comes from and is not unusual for us to have visitors from 40-45 states and 30 or more different countries throughout the summer.
Some of you may have heard that we were recently hit by a tornado and we are happy to report that we had no one hurt and most of the construction has been completed. We are blessed to have such a strong work force in our community and workmanship like no other. For two weeks we had a local construction company here and they have worked hard to
restore everything in record time. We are blessed to be part of this community and are so thankful for the support of our friends and neighbors.
We are excited about all the activities we have planned for the summer months and hope that you will be able to join us for the fun. Check out our upcoming events page for Christmas in July specials as well as Gramma Fannie's upcoming anniversary sale.
A trip to the farm is a great way to spend time with the family or maybe your grandchildren. My own
grandchildren never tire of the train and buggy rides (and they come quite often). A stop in Alma's Kitchen in the Amish Home for a cookie is also high on their agenda when they come. Like all children they enjoy pets and they love to visit Berlin Pets to see all the puppies. We like to pack a picnic lunch or sometimes we get lunch at the Farm Diner. The Diner offers a nice selection of sandwiches, salads, and side dishes. It's nice to grab a bite to eat while we are here.
I look at our time at the farm as an investment in the grandchildren's lives. They will not always be little and they may not always want to spend time with their Nana but I
am taking time to create memories that I hope they will cherish in years to come. So take some time to make memories of your own here at the farm. Come to Amish country and enjoy the blessing of God with your families.
